Power Outage Information
At Powell Valley Electric Cooperative, delivering safe and reliable power is our top priority. However, severe weather and other factors can occasionally cause service interruptions. If you experience a power outage, please follow the steps below to stay safe and help us restore your power as quickly and safely as possible.
How to Report an Outage
To report an outage, contact your local PVEC office:
- Jonesville: 276-346-6003
- Sneedville: 423-733-2207
- New Tazewell: 423-626-5204
Alternatively, you can also report an outage by logging into your electric account online or using the PVEC App.
You can also view real-time outage information using our live outage map on the website. This tool shows current outages in your area and helps you stay informed about the status of power restoration.
It’s essential to report any power outage as soon as possible. Please do not assume someone else has already reported it. Your call helps us assess the scope of the outage and pinpoint its location. We especially need to be aware of any life-threatening situations, such as downed power lines.
Safety Reminder: Never Approach Downed Power Lines
Remember: NEVER go near downed power lines or trees in contact with power lines. Stay at least 30 feet away and call us immediately.
Important Note: Do not report outages via social media or the "Contact Us" section on our website. These methods are not monitored for immediate response and could delay service restoration.
Your safety is our priority, and timely reporting of outages helps us restore power more efficiently. Thank you for your cooperation.
