Understanding Your Powell Valley Electric Cooperative Bill

Below is an example of a typical PVEC monthly bill. We’ve highlighted key sections to help you understand your charges. If you have any questions, feel free to contact your local PVEC office.

  1. Account Number: This unique number helps identify your account.
  2. Service Address: The 911 address associated with your service location.
  3. Meter Reading Dates: These dates represent the service period for which your bill is calculated. The current bill is based on usage from the previous month.
  4. Usage Comparison: This table shows a comparison of your current bill with the previous month and the same period last year, including days of service and average kilowatt usage per day.
  5. Additional Information:
    • TO BE PAID BY DRAFT: Your bill will be automatically drafted from your account on the due date.
    • FINAL BILL: The account is no longer active.
    • CR BALANCE DO NOT PAY: A credit balance exists; no payment is needed.
    • LEVELIZED: Your account is on the average billing program.
  6. Late Payment Charge: A 1.5% late fee will be applied if payment is made after the due date.
  7. Disconnect Date: If payment is not made by 4:00 p.m. on this date, a $10.00 processing fee will be charged, and your service may be disconnected. No further notices will be mailed.
  8. Contact Information: Your Address and Telephone number on file.  (Be sure to notify us if your contact information or address changes.)
  9. Due Date: Payments made after this date could negatively affect your credit with Powell Valley Electric Cooperative.
